Why we came together
Sri K. Krishnanunni, a former Director-General of the Geological Survey of India expired on 4 June 2020 at his native place, Palakkad in Kerala. He had a brilliant academic career starting from being the topper of the first ever batch of UPSC examinations in 1964 for appointment as Geologist (Jr) in the Geological Survey of India till his reaching the pinnacle of the organization as Director General.

He was a great intellectual and visionary. He was simple, humane and informal to all and was also a great human being. During his long professional career spanning 36 years in the Geological Survey of India and the Department of Space he had won many admirers.

On hearing the news of his sad demise all his admirers were shocked. They decided to form a memorial trust to perpetuate his memory and propagate his vision.

Funds for the Trust
To raise funds by way of collecting donations, collecting contributions from other societies and receiving aids from beneficiaries etc. or in any manner in which the Board deems to be the best in the interest of the Trust. The funds, income and property of the trust shall be utilized solely towards the achievement of the aims and objectives as set forth above and no portion of it shall be utilized for payment to the trustees nor their families, nor any member of their families nor any of their relatives or concerns by way of profit, interest, dividends, commission or any such payment by whatever name it may be called except for honorarium, reimbursement of travel and conveyance and other incidental expenses incurred in connection with the work related to the Trust subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees. The decision of the Board of Trustees in this regard shall be final and binding on all concerned and shall not be contested in any forum legal or otherwise.
